Entrance Examination Information

ELECTRONIC REQUEST

Candidates should register online for the entrance exam with the guidelines provided by the Study Advisor.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

Applicants must pass an entrance examination in chemistry and biology in written form (multiple choice tests). Since the language of instruction is English, applicants should possess a good command of English. The maximum score a candidate can achieve is 800 points. Normally, the pass points for a test is 600 points. The Dean of the University then decides for the pass points of the examination based on the success of the candidates in the introductory examination, so the pass mark can be varied.

The Dean of the Faculty decides on the acceptance of students based on their success in the entrance examination and number of applicants for the given study programme. The entrance examination test consists of 100 questions in biology and 100 questions in chemistry. Applicants have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the test for Safarik University in Kosice and 3 hours for the examination in Comenius University in Bratislava.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION IN CYPRUS

The students have the opportunity to take the entrance examinations for Safarik University of Kosice in Cyprus so they don’t have to travel abroad to guarantee a placement to study.

Entrance Examination Information

Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Kosice

Entrance Examination: Written, multiple-choice in Chemistry and Biology. English proficiency required.

Preparation Materials: Two books with a total of 1200 questions (600 Chemistry, 600 Biology).

Examination Date: Beginning of July 2020 (in Cyprus).

Application Deadline: 1st of June 2020.

Tuition Fees: General Medicine: €10,500/year, Dentistry: €11,000/year.

Capacity: General Medicine: 200 students, Dentistry: 30 students.

Comenius University in Bratislava

Entrance Examination: Similar format to UPJS, with emphasis on Chemistry and Biology. English proficiency required.

Preparation Materials: Two books with a total of 3000 questions (1500 Chemistry, 1500 Biology).

Examination Date: 17th and 18th of August 2020.

Application Deadline: 3rd of July 2020.

Tuition Fees: General Medicine: €9,500/year, Dentistry: €11,000/year.

Capacity: General Medicine: 200 students, Dentistry: 35 students.

Additional Notes

Candidates have the option to take the entrance examination for UPJS in Cyprus, avoiding the need to travel abroad.

The Dean decides on acceptance based on the examination results and the number of applicants.
